I created this system, Schenker Martial Arts based on my own discoveries into my
own self introspection. When I crossed
over from the karate world into the world of
kung fu, I found each system has its own
outstanding positives as well as its own
shortcomings. This is the law of nature.
For example, Tae Kwon Do is famous for its
kicking techniques and Wing Chun famous for
it's hand work. When we look at this
equation, we have yin and yang. Why learn one
system and not the other? Traditionalist
have said if a person really learns a system
well they do not need to look outside, so I
pose the question from the afore mentioned
example; if a Tae Kwon Do person thoroughly
understands and practices his system, will
this make him a proficient grappler? What
happens when and if he's taken down.
Same goes for Wing Chun, will a through
understanding give this person incredible
kicking ability? Unless of course he trains
in a certain way to attain these attributes. We want a well
rounded arsenal, but do not want to spread ourselves
too thin. Looking at the example above we
would have to learn both systems entirely
and then and only then practice what best
works for us mentally, physically, and
spiritually.
Most importantly we need to "Honestly
Express Ourselves" and truly practice what
is beneficial to us and not just "fancy
flowery techniques" with no purpose or
understanding. With this said I created Schenker Martial Arts
with four foundation systems and
additional emphasis
from several other systems. But I also believe a
system should never be considered complete, we
will always have breakthroughs and internal
changes.
Who
am I to create my own system?
Not only am I
ranked to do so, but I believe it is and
will be a betterment to the human race. I took
careful attention to keep these systems
pure, undiluted and unadulterated (the way they were passed
down from generation to generation) and
combine them into one mega system if you
will.
I personally found that it appears
Emei Qigong is
predominately internal. Wing Chun, Liu He Men/Natural Style,
Jeet Kune Do, Karate and boxing appear
to be external. Chen Taiji is a
combination of both internal and external.
This is the
part where everybody says he doesn’t know
what he is talking about or
understand because there is internal in
external and external in internal. Emei Qigong has external as well as
Wing Chun and Liu He Men/Natural Style,
Karate, Jeet Kune Do and boxing have
internal, and it's just the law of nature.
Those who really understand will know what
I’m talking about.
I devised Schenker Martial Arts based on Emei
Qigong
as internal as to strengthen the entire
human organism. Every cell can and will be
enhanced and balanced. Wing Chun, Liu He Men/Natural
Style, Karate, Jeet Kune Do and boxing to
work as an external powerful self defense
system. And
Chen Taiji as "balancers"
to the afore mentioned systems.
Again,
relating back to my experience, I came from
a karate background. I was infatuated with
Bruce lee from childhood so I decided to
study his system. When I began, my teacher
told me the essence to all martial arts and
everything that permeates the universe is Qi.
While studying Emei Qigong I found
myself with a dilemma I found I could build
up incredible amounts of energy(Qi) and
bliss but then to move right into Wing Chun was an abrupt change, I needed a "gap bridger"
a medium to bring me from the internal world
of Emei Qigong back into the
external world. Taiji would be that "gap bridger", but I
wasn't attracted to the styles I had seen at
the time. Until one day in the Far East I
saw a demonstration of Chen Taijiquan and it
just clicked that this was it.
All of the
systems mentioned here were studied in depth
with the highest level teachers on the
planet. Either it was the lineage holders or
their top/chief students. So, my teachings come to
you in their purist form, undiluted. I studied
in most cases private, I have put
insurmountable amounts of blood, sweat, tears
and financial hardships as well as sacrifice into developing
this system. Traveling the globe for study
and cultivation, I am very proud of the outcome. Like
the old adage states "I’d give my life to
move like him", well I did and I’m here to
say, I hope many will take advantage of it
because students have got it all right
before them!!
One last note, all of the above
writing means nothing without being a good
person. We have to "give - give until it
hurts". Excerpt from a letter I received from
"Mother Theresa". Don't worry about the
payback that's all karmically generated. It is
said that giving is the most selfish thing
we can do because the reward is so great!!!
Keep high standards, morals, and ethics;
Never compromise your belief system as long
as it's of high quality.
In summary, I developed Schenker Martial Arts to benefit all
sentiment beings.
